What is Tiered Billing?

This option separates colored printing from black and white printing. There is no per page fee, instead the customer is charged for how much color is on a page. If there is a full black and white picture that has a dash of red, there will be an extra charge for that dash. If the picture is full color, the charge will be that much greater. This is a good option for a business that doesn’t want to print much color but does need it on occasion.

How do you know if you can use Tiered Billing?

The first thing you should look at is how your Cleveland office works. Does the business have an office that prints many color prints? Alternatively, does the business mainly print black and white? If the output is mostly color, the tiered billing option probably isn’t the best choice. However, if the output is mostly black and white, tiered billing could save the company money.
